Just outside of Central Station in Newcastle is a festive pop up bar called Hadrian's Tipi.
Inside the Tipi was a bar with very cheerful bar staff. I probably could have been classy and ordered a glass of prosecco or a cup of mulled wine but no, being the lady I am ordered a pint of draft cider. After being served, we jumped in the next available seats with a crate as a table. The place was decorated very christmassy with garlands and fairy lights all around the place. With crates to sit on, fur rugs draped over every bench and a live singer singing acoustic created a very chilled vibe.
But the decor wasn't the best thing about the place it was the fire pit in the centre of the Tipi. Creating a hive of activity around it. Don't get me wrong, inside the tent was beautiful and warm but the novelty of sitting beside a fire was clearly on everyone's agenda.
We sipped our drinks until there was a space around the fire and made a brisk run for the seats..
Drinking, chatting and listening to the music with the heat of the fire on my face was bliss.
